Pecker

Wikipedia Style

A good-natured teasing poses and artifice of certain categories, signed John Waters. A dull film, but ironically the least bad of the previous director

A boy a bit 'absent-minded, Baltimore and his busty girlfriend, who works in a laundry and, occasionally, loose blouse and let him take pictures: naive, a bit 'right-thinking people are genuine but the two protagonists of the penultimate film by John Waters. "Pecker" (woodpecker, as the nickname of the protagonist) is in the line of the last film normal Waters: common sense, maybe a bit 'rough, against snobbery and presumptions (of class and culture), a good-natured mockery of artifice and attitudes of certain categories. Here to shop the great irony of Baltimore snob (and not look like a contradiction: no one better than a snob, as Waters, know how to get the notes out of tune elegance of artifice or false) are the intellectual salon of New York, in particular, those of rounds of photo galleries, you realize the talent and attract Pecker in the Big Apple. Fascination, flattery, gaffes, embarrassments, confrontation and inevitable disappointment. But, for once, is the authenticity prevails, and it all ends in a big party. Acute, but not triggered by "Hairspray." Bella autocaricatura of the grim Lily Taylor, and Christina Ricci has the solidity of a blatant true diva Waters.
