Pink Flamingos ( Pink Flamingos ) is a trash film of the 1972 U.S. director John Waters .
Initially panned by critics and audiences over the years became a true cult film, often cited as a manifesto of "cinematrash.


protagonist of the film is the transvestite Divine and tells his strange story of the constant search for ' affirmation of his "disgusting" (the famous scene in which Divine eats the excrement of a poodle), as opposed to continuous sgarra useless by a freakish pair (the Marble) trying in every way to steal the title.
After the film enters the John Waters to illustrate the various stages of the audience shooting of the film, as well as new scenes and explanatory with regard to understanding the plot.
In 1997 came out a special edition to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the film.
